Good evening versus Good Night

Use 'good evening' as a greeting after six p.m. Use 'good night' at the end of the evening when you leave someone for the day.

Example Sentences

Good evening Tom, would you like to have some dinner with me?
Good night. I'll see you at work tomorrow.
