Tip of the Day: 247 I know
Kenneth Beare
From Kenneth Beare, your Guide to English as 2nd Language

I know

The phrase 'I know' refers to facts. Notice we do not use 'it'.

Example Sentences

She's a very talented girl. - I know.
They're building a new office building downtown. - I know.

Quiz of the Day - Sentence Transformation

The ability to rewrite sentences so that they have the same meaning as the original is often required for many English ESL EFL Exams such as Cambridge's First Certificate, CAE and Proficiency. This skill can also help you prepare for the TOEFL examination (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

English Worksheet of the Day - English Learner Dictionaries

Bilingual dictionaries are great. English learner dictionaries are better! These dictionaries have been designed with English learners in mind, and as such provide extra learning tools for pronunciation, verb types, basic grammar structures, and more.
